grbsystems.com has written a CCDSoftV5 driver to enable the Meade DSI and DSI-II cameras to be used with CCDSoftV5 from Software Bisque.

CCDSoftV5 is a huge step up from the Meade Envisage software supplied with the camera. This driver also satisfies the demand to use these inexpensive cameras as dedicated guide cameras. It uses relay emulation by supporting any ASCOM telescope driver.

While the drive supports the single shot color cameras CCDSoftV5 does not currently support converting the raw frame to RGB color. The DSI cameras use a CMY filter array, not the standard Bayer RGB filter array that CCDSoftV5 currently supports. This does not prevent the use of the cameras as guiders.
